Are connectors software agents that are installed on devices?
In general, connectors (RIN or Remote Ingestion Node) are applications or Virtual Appliances in OVA format that collect data through different protocols and are installed on dedicated machines. In some cases, however, it is possible to install agents on the sources, these assessments are made during the architectural design.
